Former MD Richard Smith Retires

After 49 years with the company in various roles, initially as a Quantity Surveyor, Richard Smith has finally put away his ladders, torch etc, and retired as a Director and shareholder of Allied Souter & Jaffrey on 3rd October. Directors Andy Gray and Keith Campbell have now joined Angus Gunn as shareholders in the company going forward.
Richard has devoted a huge amount of his time and energy into running Allied Souter & Jaffrey over the past 30 years and has seen the company through various successful and challenging periods. He will be on hand as a consultant to ensure continuity with clients.
Managing Director Angus Gunn commented “we have a lot to be grateful to Richard for, thanks to his hard work and dedication and many of the relationships he has built up and systems he put in place will be vital for the company going forward. He has left an incredibly strong base for us to build from.”
